We spent the morning at a home in the Upper Kirby area (77027), and it turned into one of those visits where you knock out two very different problems in one trip.
Rebuilding the outdoor water supply
First was the outdoor water supply. The old shutoffs were corroded and the exposed piping out by the foundation had seen better years — common on the established homes around Greenway and Highland Village, where decades of Houston sun and the occasional hard freeze wear down anything left uninsulated outside. We rebuilt the supply lines in CPVC, set a new gate valve and a new HydraPro brass ball valve for clean, reliable shutoff, then wrapped the exposed runs in heavy PVC pipe-wrapping tape. That wrap matters more than people think here — it shields the lines from UV and adds real freeze protection for the next hard winter.

Two tankless water heaters for endless hot water
Then we moved to the hot water. This house went with two high-efficiency tankless water heaters, mounted side by side and running as a pair. For a larger Upper Kirby home with multiple bathrooms, a single tank can’t keep up and somebody always ends up with a cold shower. Two tankless units fix that: endless hot water on demand to several fixtures at once, both ENERGY STAR rated, with a much smaller energy footprint than the old tank they replaced. One was already dialed in at 135°F before we left.

Two jobs, one visit, one happy homeowner. If your outdoor valves are rusted shut or you’re tired of running out of hot water, call us at 713-955-1919.
